James Gunn has said that there will be updates for DCU movies in 3 days. DC Chief James Gunn has revealed on Twitter that updates for the DCU movies will arrive by January. There are 4 films coming out in the DCU this year. Shazam: Fury of the Gods, Flash, Blue Beetle, and Aquaman the Lost Kingdom are coming. The trailer for Shazam: Fury of the Gods is already out. The film is slated to hit the screens on 17 March 2023. No promotions have been done for this film. In the trailer of this film, they have shown the entire film. It’s clear that this movie isn’t going to continue because James Gunn has been making a lot of changes since coming to the DCU side.
Ezra Miller’s Flash is the next film to be released after Shazam. Ezra Miller has made many mistakes and is now in prison. He has now got 1-year parole. Ben Affleck is definitely going to return in this Flash movie. This film is going to be Ben Affleck’s last film in the DCU. Although there was a reshoot with Ben Affleck in Aquaman, it was removed from the film.
This will be followed by Blue Beetle on 18 August 2023. The film was originally released on HBO Max with Batgirl. But now it’s coming under the DCU. They have decided to shelve Batgirl and release Blue Beetle in theatres. Blue Beetle is James Gunn’s first film in the DCU. It will be followed by Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom later this year. No proper updates are available for this movie yet. The reshooting work for this film is going on. The film was earlier released by Flash, but now it is slated to release in December 2023.
